LAPD Ups the Counterterrorism Efforts
As quoted in the LA Times last week,
The (LA City)council's Public Safety Committee voted 4-0 to fund the homeland security initiative, expected to cost $1.27 million this year, and pay for extensive surveillance activities.
It was recommended last week that the Los Angeles City Council add 44 counterterrorism officers to the LAPD, which some think would also help with surveillance initiatives in neighborhoods known for high populations of gangs. Some argue that adding more officers and increasing surveillance cameras will be good for counterterrorism efforts as well as managing gang crime, others say it will be shifting resources away officers who deal directly with gangs.

Covert Operation Anyone?
Thank goodness the world of surveillance is not as hap-hazardous as Inspector Cluso makes it out to be. With the availability and variety of spy cameras, surveillance ops have never been more cool. Have you always imagined having covert cameras like James Bond to watch and ensure things are happening as they should? Check out these spy cameras like this cool covert hidden camera.
