It can use solar energy to power its pump transforming dirty water into drinkable water within seconds.  Water can be drawn from ditches, rivers, lakes or standing water that may contain chemical and/or biological contamination. The Purification Process Two Stage Filtration. The first stage removes sand, dirt and very fine particles down to 5 microns in size. The second stage effectively removes harmful microorganisms such as paramecium, amoeba, giardia, cryptosporidium and other small matter down to 1 micron. Water Treatment. The replaceable multi-media water treatment canister effectively treats 40,000 to 50,000 gallons of surface water containing contaminants such as lead, barium, selenium and arsenic, prior to replacement. It also removes high levels of manmade pollutants such as solvents, insecticides and petrochemicals. When used to eliminate possible microbial contamination in clear water, the canister may be used for up to 60,000 gallons. It is most effective when the flow rate does not exceed 3.3 gallons per minute. Disinfecting. An ultraviolet (UV) lamp system is integrated. Rated at 10 gallons per minute, it provides as much as three times the safety factor required by the US regulatory agencies and exceeds the World Health Organization’s standards for total disinfection. UV is much faster acting than chlorine and has been found to destroy 99.99% of all bacteria and viruses found in water, such as e-coli, cholera, typhoid, anthrax and polio. The new TASER X26C surfaces as a variation of the X26C model with the same stopping power LOS ANGELES, CA - December 9, 2009 - As a response to all of the concerns of self-defense made by civilians all over the US, the online military and safety products dealer - Security Pro USA now offers the new TASER X26C. The release adds to the already existing lineup of stun guns and other TASER devices for law enforcements officials. Unlike other TASERs, the X26C aims to sell at the civilian market. It is based off of the existing X26 which is exclusively for law enforcement officials. It can be identified by having a yellow tip rather than a green tip that the X26 sports. Many of the features are identical to the main model allowing powerful take downs to be made by using wires to discharge 50,000 volts targeting the motor and sensory functions found in the nervous system. This technology also includes the Shaped Pulse technology which is responsible for its clothing penetrating capabilities. The X26C boasts higher effectiveness ratings than other weapons since the target area can be anywhere allowing quicker reactions to be made with the TASER. Its reliability is increased with a laser sight that is integrated in the model for use during low intensity lighting situations. A nitrogen propulsion system is integrated and is Anti-Felon Identification optimized to avoid misuse by embedding a special bar-coded serial into each cartridge which disperses ID tags after activating. It is powered by a digital power magazine that is included with the package yet remains to be easy to carry due to its lightweight design. Included in the package are six TASER cartridges, a manual, the digital power magazine, training materials including a practice target and a training certificate, and a carrying case. Because many of the features are identical to the model that is used by law enforcement, interested buyers need to be warned regarding the proper use of the TASER which is for non-lethal self-defense usage and any law restrictions that apply depending on the state. Stun guns and TASER devices are restricted in New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Rhode Island. In addition, people living in certain cities in Maryland (Annapolis and Baltimore), Iowa (Dension and Crowfound Counties), District of Columbia, and Philadelphia cannot possess stun guns. Although this particular stun gun isn't available to people outside the United States, stun guns in general are still restricted for people living in foreign countries including Canada, UK, Australia, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, and Norway.
